The ARAI HELMETS Contour-X Helmet in Blue Frost offers advanced aerodynamic features combined with innovative ventilation and safety enhancements. Its ultra-slim 3.5 mm deep duct design efficiently channels air through two central 10 mm intake ports, providing optimal airflow at low speeds and maintaining comfort during upright riding positions. The logo duct's airflow can be easily adjusted with a short-stroke lever, which is operable with summer or winter gloves, allowing riders to open or close the duct conveniently. The logo duct is engineered to break away upon impact, ensuring safety without compromising the helmet's structural integrity.
The helmet features an aerodynamic rear spoiler inspired by the DF-X2 of the Corsair-X but redesigned for touring, positioned slightly forward on the shell. Its three ports draw air efficiently while smoothing airflow over and from the helmet sides, significantly reducing buffeting and rider fatigue during highway overtaking. The spoiler is designed to detach upon impact, maintaining safety standards. The Contour-X also includes a three-position sliding chin vent with a large intake volume and a replaceable filter, offering customizable airflow and easy operation with gloves. The shell is constructed with Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-cLc2), ensuring lightweight strength, with additional super fiber belting that enhances rigidity in critical areas.
The helmet’s Variable Axis System (VAS) lowers the visor mounting position by approximately 24 mm across the temple areas, promoting a smoother shape that deflects glancing energy and improves overall protection. Flared edges around the opening assist in easier helmet donning and removal, especially for new users. An integrated small stitched opening inside the neck roll facilitates discreet wiring management for communication systems without sacrificing helmet integrity.
